A weekend event that brings back things that players once loved and is now either dead or removed.

-Double or even triple faction for the ascalon arena, and glad points!
-Bring back TA/Hb ONLY FOR THE One Time event.
-Double the drop rate on Non-Insc Gold weapons

anybody care to share any other ideas relevant to reliving old tmes in guild wars?

I don't see why a newb character arena should be given access to gladiator points.

TA and HB aren't coming back, stop asking about it.

The inscription system is superior to what was available in Prophecies and Factions. I'm not really keen on having a weekend wasted on boosting drop rates of terribly modded weapons.

A Nostalgia weekend would be cool I think.

Maybe revert ALL skills to their original functionalities for one weekend? That would be pretty crazy awesome.

Don't forget to delete or lock all characters created in Factions and Nightfall and any non-core class. Sounds like fun, and I'm sure the weekend event would be unanimously praised!

@OP: Play solo in hard mode Prophecies and/or Factions and kill lots of monsters quickly. You will find the drop rate of gold non-inscribed items is quite high.

Ascalon arena is not worthy of awarding gladiator points, and HB/TA are gone.

It would be extremelly hard to revive the good experiences of the old times on the current live servers, the impact of the new and not necessarily cool stuff is too big and impossible to be just removed.

I may be repeating myself but the thing I dream of is a *separate GW server* with Prophecies only, offering a fresh new start for everyone, a fresh clean economy and no heroes or imba PvE skills. I would play THAT instead of current GW to fill my time till GW2 is released.

yeah lets penalize people who first experienced the game by buying factions or nightfall by locking out their characters.

Well, it doesn't seem like this thread is going much of anywhere.

"Nostalgia"-type suggestions have been made in the past, and those topics always go so well. The least you could do is give a decent explanation as to why you think your suggestion would improve the game and be worth precious developer time. Additionally, I can likely find threads created in the past on each of your suggestions (and I have!). Rules 1, 2, and 5; take your pick. Either way, this thread is
